Subhash Nepali

Founding President/Advisor

He works as Economic and Sustainable Development Advisor with the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office. He was a research fellow at the South Asian University in Delhi, India, where he carried out research on Nepal’s labor market and economic development. Subhash has worked as Policy, Strategy, and Research Manager with the Governance Facility, a joint initiative of the Governments of Denmark, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland to support the principles of good governance in Nepal, from 2017 to 2018. He served at UN Women Nepal Country Office implementing the programmes on economic empowerment of women in Nepal, from 2016 and 2017. In 2015, He worked as a Tax Specialist with the World Bank Group in Washington, DC, the USA. He served as a Development Coordination Analyst at the UNRCHCO Nepal, from 2010 and 2013. He has also worked with UNHCR, JICA, and national level non-governmental organizations in Nepal. Subhash holds a Master’s Degree in International Economics from Georgetown University in the USA on a Fulbright scholarship. He has also received master’s degrees in Sociology and English Studies from the Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He is deeply motivated by a sense of the need for equal opportunity, equitable redistribution of resources, and giving “voice” for those living in less developed areas from all sections of society.
